Stevens Pass

Seattle Business magazine named Stevens Pass the winner in its Recreation Category and a member of its exclusive Green 50 List of “outstanding, sustainable organizations.”

“For the past four years, our company has targeted sustainability, and we are especially pleased to earn this recognition of our cutting-edge efforts,” says Ross Freeman, Environmental and Sustainability Manager for the Pacific Northwest resort.

Resort initiatives include food waste composting, electric vehicle charging stations, wind powered carbon offsets for guests, pilot solar power projects, resort-wide recycling, energy efficient retrofits, and employee transit.

Winners were selected from a large pool of nominations by a panel of judges from prominent regional organizations including the Washington Environmental Council, Climate Solutions, Bainbridge Graduate Institute, and Washington Clean Technology Alliance.
