World Of Adventure Sports TVThe Emmy Award-winning television series “World of Adventure Sports” has been acquired by Powdr Enterprises, a division of Powdr Corp. Plans are to transform the NBC and NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) series into a year-round multi-platform offering to launch in 2014.

“Powdr has an incredibly unique network to connect with the more than 58 million participants and enthusiasts of the fastest growing lifestyle segment,” Powdr President Wade Martin said. “World of Adventure will be the vehicle to package these assets together for brands and provide an unparalled platform to connect and engage with the adventure lifestyle community in relevant and authentic ways.”

The World of Adventure content captures the stories of adventure sport athletes “pushing boundaries ands testing the limits of what is possible in some of the world’s most extraordinary places.”

World of Adventure will air six hours of original programming on NBC in 2014, increasing to eight hours in 2015. There will also be extensive distribution on NBCSN, digital properties and on Outside Television. Presenting sponsor of the series is GoPro.

Powdr plans to launch a new destination site for World of Adventure to provide premium original short form content including event and athlete profiles, content generated by Powdr Enterprises, partner contributed content and extended content from the TV series.
