Diane and Matt McFerran co-own Soldier Mountain in Fairfield. After purchasing the resort in 2015, they put it up for sale late last year for $800,000 dollars, and they’ve had some interest, but no offers.

The book “Snowboarding in Southern Vermont: From Burton to the U.S. Open” by Brian Knight on History Press is a snapshot of the 1980s and 1990s during the early days of snowboard lore.
