New Zealand’s winter season is about to begin in June at three areas: Mt Hutt, June 10; Coronet Peak, June 11; and The Remarkables, June 18. They’ve been getting ready for the upcoming season with development, trails and products. Coronet Peak is located 20 minutes from Queenstown, Mt Hutt, 35 minutes from Methven and Christchurch, and The Remarkables, 45 minutes from Queenstown. Here is an overview of what’s new at each area.

The Remarkables in Queenstown, New Zealand is undergoing a $45 million new development with the addition of a six-seat, high-speed detachable lift, increased snowmaking capacity, expansion of the learners area, new trail development, resealing part of the ski area road, and the realignment and expansion of its car parking.
