The new Sunbowl Express High-Speed quad chair opens this weekend (Dec. 20-21) at Mount Sunapee Resort. This 4,224-foot lift, manufactured by Poma of America, replaces the Sunbowl fixed-grip quad chair. The lift has a vertical rise of over 1,000 feet and services 17 trails. Now, both lifts to Mount Sunapee’s 2,743 foot summit are Poma high-speed quads.
Find yourself in the need for speed this winter? Adult race leagues can be found at resorts across the Northeast, and you don’t have to wear a race suit, unless you want to. In addition to some fun competition and potential bragging rights at your local mountain, race leagues offer camaraderie as well as affordable skiing, prizes, and some great après-ski parties.
The 2014-2015 Nordic Partnership Program was introduced by Garnet Hill Lodge, whereby season pass holder skiers are encouraged to visit "Partner Centers" while traveling this winter. This is one of the largest programs (12 ski areas) that gives skiers such a reciprocal discount among ski areas.

Wildcat Mountain in N.H. tested it’s newly completed snowmaking upgrade — the largest in its history — Sunday night (Oct. 20). The ski area installed more than10 miles of new snowmaking water and air pipe, 227 new high output/high efficiency snow guns and completed construction of a new, state-of-the-art, mid-mountain, booster pump house.
