As skiing resumes in Australia and New Zealand and bookings reopen for the upcoming ski season in the U.S. and Europe, the future is far from certain. Many ski operators, local businesses, and resorts rely on events outside of skiing and snowboarding for income, particularly to entice a younger crowd–many of which cannot now take place.
Going to a ski resort is the highlight of many snow-lovers' winters (or summers, depending on where they live!). From the fresh powder to the exciting thrills on the slopes, there's a lot to love about adventuring in tons of snow. Of course, plenty of alpine destinations also offer up excellent shopping, tourism opportunities, and dining.
Most resorts have a bunch of bars to choose from when it comes to apres-ski, but if you want to find the down-home, braggin' rights kind of bar, just follow a local.
