Winter Starts Now With Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo

Ski Vermont brings cold Long Trail and maple syrup to Boston. (Ski Vermont)

Some in the Northeast might feel like we didn’t get our fair share of winter last year, so now’s the time to start filling up, with the Boston.com Ski & Snowboard Expo. It’s the place to be if you love winter in the Northeast and are ready to celebrate all the fun we are going to have on the slopes this year.

Swing by the SnoCountry booth and register for a chance to win one of four $250 Country Ski and Sport gift cards.

The Expo is a great place for ski enthusiasts to cash in on some show-only deals for ski areas throughout the country and internationally.

If you know you are going to ski this year, talk with your favorite mountains to explore the best options for getting on the snow. Beyond your favorites, this is a great opportunity to check out what other mountains have to offer, whether you are looking for ski and stay deals, kids programs, activities beyond the slopes or just the very best prices on lift tickets and passes.

Ski New Hampshire Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo

Ski New Hampshire is in Boston and New Hampshire resorts will be well represented with an awesome pavilion that you won't want to miss. The state’s Division of Travel & Tourism Development and Ski NH will run a trivia game and enter-to-win sweepstakes with prizes that include ski and stay packages at the Omni Mount Washington Resort and The Common Man, as well as tickets to ski areas. The pavilion will also bring elements of New Hampshire’s vibrant ski scene to Boston, with a cozy “fire pit,” Adirondack chairs, s’mores, and live music.

Ski Vermont is ready to welcome you back too. Don’t miss out on the cold Long Trail and great maple products in the Vermont booth.   Looking for steals and deals? This is the show for you. Stop by the many Vermont resorts for specials only offered in Boston.

Glen Plake Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo

Celebrity sightings aren’t uncommon at the show, too. One quick look and it’s easy to know who he is. The dead giveaway – his foot-high, carefully crafted blond Mohawk hairdo.  It’s Glen Plake, the world’s most recognizable skier who for decades has been turning heads and talking passionately about his favorite sport, skiing. This skiing Pied Piper has a life-long love affair with skiing.  Glen will make appearances at Expo throughout much of the day on Fri., Nov. 10, and during the morning of Nov. 11.

Olympic Gold Medalists Tommy Moe and Donna Weinbrecht will be in the Expo hall for autograph signings, and talking up their favorite sport and the special programs they offer this winter. Tommy is slotted in at the Jackson Hole booth on Thurs., 5-8 pm, Fri. 3-9 pm (except noon-2), and Sat. Noon-5 pm.  Donna will be at the Killington booth on Saturday, possibly late day on Friday.
