Upslope Backcountry Tap Room coming to Winter Park Resort, Oct. 2.

Winter Park Resort is sending off summer with one last hurrah high up on the mountain. On Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, Winter Park Resort, along with Upslope Brewing Company, will host a signature Backcountry Tap Room event – fresh mountain air, views for miles and refreshing craft beer all included.

Just like it sounds, Winter Park and Upslope will pop up a tap room at the top of Mary Jane mountain in the trees surrounding Lunch Rock restaurant. To get to the Backcountry Tap Room, guests will need to hike the Roof of the Rockies trail from the top of the Gondola. People will be greeted with music, four bars, tasty backcountry snacks and a brand new can design for Mary Jane Ale, Winter Park’s exclusive craft beer brewed in partnership with Upslope. Upslope will also introduce a new mixed 12-pack featuring Mary Jane Ale.

The Backcountry Tap Room is billed as “a makeshift tap room placed right where adventure happens,” but it’s also a great jumping off point to support the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Proceeds from every ticket sold from the Winter Park event will go to Leave No Trace to help them continue their efforts to protect the outdoors.

Winter Park Resort and Upslope Brewing began their partnership more than two years ago. The relationship continues to be an ideal alignment of both brands, bringing adventurers of all kinds the quintessential Après Everything beer, Mary Jane Ale. A true collaboration, Mary Jane Ale was conceived to be the beer guests crave first after a day of adventure on the mountain – that meant a brew that is refreshing and approachable. With Colorado-grown and Munich-malted barley along with U.S.-grown Azacca and Cascade hops, Mary Jane Ale is a perfect balance of hoppiness and refreshment with a hint of ripe fruit.
