Wild Mountain, Minn. appears to be the first ski area in America to be fully, 100 percent open for the new season. That’s on top of being the very first area to open for sliders earlier this fall.
Wild’s Amy Frischman told SnoCountry.com that the ski area’s snowmakers have been at it 24/7 since Thanksgiving and the entire mountain is ready for all comers. She said the Main Stage Terrain Park is also open with rails and pads, and the high-speed rope tow is running.
It may be a bit easier for a smaller Midwest ski area to get totally open, than say, a western resort destination, but “open is open” and Wild Mt. is first again.
