Whistler's Spring Season Extended Until June 7 Thanks To April Snows
Whistler Blackcomb will extend the skiing and snowboarding season on Whistler Mountain until Sunday, June 7. The extension will allow skiers and snowboarders to enjoy three extra weeks of late season spring skiing and riding.
“The spring has delivered some fantastic skiing and snowboarding,” says Whistler's Doug Macfarlane. “Temperatures have stayed relatively cool in the alpine and the 69cm of snow that fell in April has left the terrain in great shape, prompting us to extend the season for our guests to enjoy.”
The season extension will include expected lift operations at the Whistler Village Gondola, Emerald Express, Franz’s Chair, Peak Express and the T Bars. Terrain Park riders will be able to continue to enjoy the soft spring snow in the Nintendo Terrain Park. All lift operations, open terrain and Terrain Park operations will be dependent on weather and snow conditions.
The BC resort also has pushed the deadline for Early Bird rates on 2015.16 Season Passes and EDGE Cards until May 11. Guests can lock down the lowest rates on Passes and Cards for the 2015.16 winter season and receive bonus offers and perks for purchasing before that date.
