Vail Resorts Offers Credits For Next Season's Epic Pass

Skiers and snowboarders who hold this season's Epic Pass will get between 20 and 80 percent credit on the price of the 2020-21 multi-resort pass.

Cancellation of the last quarter of the 2019-2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic meant many Epic pass holders didn't get on the hills as much as they wanted. The credits are:

  • The minimum credit will be 20% of the next season cost;

  • Those holders who used their Epic Pass less than five days get a higher credit; and

  • Epic Pass holders who didn't use their pass at all this past season get 80 percent next season's price.

  • In addition, the decision whether to cash in that credit doesn't have to be made until Labor Day, Sept. 7. The exact dollar amount of the credit depends upon which pass from Epic's choices they have.

For those who have an Epic Day Pass, Vail Resorts will credit all unused days up to 80percent for the same pass next season.

To further sweeten the pot next season, the pass comes with free insurance against loss of slope time due to injury, job loss, or other personal events. Plus, the coverage provides refunds for certain losses due to the pandemic during the 2020-2021 season.

The preseason Epic Pass already had tacked onto it a 20percent discount on food and beverage, lessons, rentals, and some lodging.
