Utah Resorts Spread Out Season Pass Smorgasbord, Multi-Day Options

Utah powder houndThe first dustings are on the highest peaks, and resorts across the West are in the midst of early season ticket discounts. In Utah, the mélange of choices for multi-day tickets -- local, regional and national -- is greater than ever.

“Things have changed with the arrival of the Epic Pass to Utah,” Ski Utah’s Nathan Rafferty. “It has generally led to other Utah resorts to hold season pass pricing stable, add value, or in some cases drop prices to compete.”

Here’s what’s out there in Utah this winter.

EPIC Pass. All-season Vail Resort’s pass good at the new Park City Mountain, which is now joined with the former Canyons.

Yeti Pass. One-day ticket at each of the state’s 14 resorts for $649, through Ski Utah.

Ski Utah Silver and Gold. For $3,050 or $4,300, the hardcore can get either 30 or 50 days, respectively, at each Utah resort.

Ski City SuperPass. Three- to 10-day passes sold through Visit Salt Lake for skiing-riding up the Cottonwood canyons at Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton.

Mountain Collective. Two days at Alta and Snowbird included in the nationwide, multi-resort ticket.

M.A.X. Pass. Good at Brighton, which is one of 22 resorts all across the country included.

In addition, consolidation of ownership among Utah resorts has produced multi-resort season tickets for a number of the 14 resorts. A pass at either Brighton, Solitude or Deer Valley is good for days on these partners’ mountains; Snowbird’s season pass is good for three days at Deer Valley and Alta.

Military, police, fire personnel and teachers all can score nearly half-off on a season pass at Powder Mountain.
