A new non-stop, direct United Express flight from Chicago O’Hare to the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport will be available for 10 Saturdays throughout the winter beginning Dec. 21. Sky West Airlines will operate the 66-seat regional jet aircraft.

The flight leaves O’Hare at 9:45 a.m., arriving in Crested Butte at 11:40 a.m., in time for passengers to take a few afternoon runs. Chicago passengers can take advantage of a free half-day ticket the day of flight by bringing your ID and boarding pass stub to the resort’s Adventure Center on date of arrival.

“We are pleased to be growing air service into Gunnison-Crested Butte and we feel that adding this direct, non-stop service from Chicago brings a direct destination and a major United Airlines hub back to the community’s air program,” says Crested Butte’s Scott Clarkson.

United also flies direct, non-stop to Gunnison-Crested Butte from Denver and Houston throughout the winter.

Tickets are on sale now for Dec. 21, 28; Jan. 4; Feb. 15, 22; and March 1, 8, 22, 29 at united.com. The flight returns to O’Hare at 12:15 p.m. for a 3:58 p.m. arrival.
