Two-Year Passes Highlight Pre-Season Sales At Angel Fire, A-Basin
Solidifying an industry trend of out-of-the-box season pass configurations, both resorts give their regular customers a chance to save big bucks while banking on hitting the slopes a bunch in the next two seasons.
At A-Basin, the “Double Down” program runs until Dec. 31, with a $499 price tag for an adult pass through the end of the 2013-2014 season. A regular, single season pass currently costs $299. Those skiers and snowboarders who have already purchased 2012-2013 pass at the Colorado mountain can upgrade to the Double Down for $200.
The two-year pass comes with a 10 percent discount on most purchases on site, one $45 half-day lesson, $10 off performance tuning, discounts from friends and families, and one unguided day at Silverton Mountain.
In northern New Mexico, last season’s bountiful snowfall has produced optimism all over the Sangre de Cristos. Angel Fire hopes to cash in on that sentiment with it’s End of Days Pass.
Until Oct. 31, an adult season ticket for 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 costs $399, including free access to summer activities next year. If purchased after Oct. 31, the two-year price goes up to $499. A single season pass costs $299 before the deadline, $399 afterwards.
