No need to hang ‘em up quite yet, but the list is indeed getting shorter. There’s skiing and riding in six states. Several resorts have stayed open continuously, while some others have closed during the week, but plan to re-open for the weekend. Here’s the rundown:

Mammoth Mountain in California is waiting for you with 83 trails served by 7 lifts. Alpine Meadows at Lake Tahoe will re-open for the weekend and the best part is moms ski for free.

Pacific Northwest skiers and riders can plan on doing your thing a bit longer in Oregon and Washington. Mt. Bachelor, near Bend, Ore. is your best bet with 85 trails and 4 lifts. But, Timberline Lodge is running three lifts and Mt. Hood Meadows will re-open for the weekend. The Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington has 21 trails going and 4 lifts running. Crystal Mt. plans to re-open for the weekend.

It’s A-Basin for you Colorado diehards, but you’ll find plenty of terrain with 71 trails open and 7 lifts spinning. Utah’s Snowbird plans to keep on skiing through Memorial Day and currently is showing four lifts serving 62 trails.

Not a whole lot available to eastern diehards, but both Jay Peak and Killington plan to re-open for the weekend. Jay plans two Mother’s Day brunches Sunday, while Killington will operate the Superstar Express Quad.
