After a decade of uncertainty, Tamarack Resort appears to have found financial stability and will embark on major improvements to the village and mountain facilities in the 2019 off-season.

Imperium Blue, a major partner in the group that purchased the western Idaho resort this past year, announced that construction around the base area this summer will focus on completing the exteriors of the three village buildings that have been sitting unfinished since 2009. Concurrently, crews will finish the first phase of retail, dining and guest service spaces in time for the 2019-2020 winter season.

On the mountain, a high-speed quad will finally go up in the Wildwood area – on the skier's left far boundary – that has 200 acres of intermediate and expert terrain, including the glades of La Bomba and The Grove. More grooming equipment has been added to the mountain's fleet, and summer crews will be busy clearing timber to provide more access around the mountain.

“It will certainly be busy around the mountain this spring,” Tamarack Resort's Jon Reveal said. “Not only is the first phase of the Village Plaza, with retail, lodging and restaurants being completed, but the mountain is getting a generous addition of accessible terrain thanks to new mountain equipment, including a high-speed quad.”

And on Feb. 18, Tamarack becomes among the first resorts in the nation to put next season's passes on sale. First round of pricing – always the lowest costs of the early season – runs through March 4. Adult passes will go for $319, 20-somethings for $219, and kids and seniors for $199.
