Glacier 3000 Switzerland

Heading for Switzerland this winter? The Lake Geneva Region is now part of the “fifth largest ski area in all of Europe.” The Super Pass Gstaad Alpes Vaudoises offers access to 420 km of slopes via 116 lifts.

You’ll ski or ride in three regions in both French and German-speaking Switzerland (hey, most everyone is pretty good at English, so no worries).

Start at Gstaad and explore the Bernere Oberland to Saanenmöser and Zweisimmen. Also access Rougemont, Leysin, Glacier 3000, Villars, and Les Diaberlets. The super pass is good through May 5.

The SuperPass is also available in conjunction with multi-day passes (4 to 15 days). The goal is to provide visitors with a more extensive and more attractive offer, better service and additional options. Prices are available here (

Families get a break in the Lake Geneva region this winter as children nine and under ski and stay free at Chateau-d’Oex, Rougemont, Leysin-Les Mosses, Les Diablerets-Glacier 3000 and Villars-Gryon. Kids must stay in their parents’ room.

Villars will offer six performances over the winter months of “Legends of Music” featuring sound, lights, fireworks, and 200 actors. Performances are Feb. 9, 13, 20, and 27; March 2 and 6.
