Stowe’s Golf Courses Ready To Open For May Play
The Stowe Country Club opens May 10 for their summer/fall season. The country club is located in the Village of Stowe and is only half of the 36 holes of golf offered by Stowe Mountain Resort.
The Country Club course has undulating fairways, manicured greens, and 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. It occupies what was a turn of the century dairy farm and has been hosting golfers since the 1950s.
Guests this season can take advantage of the $250,000 course improvements including aggressive tree management, new fairway drainage on four holes, two new “family tees” and a one-half acre upper tee for our upgraded practice facility set to open in June, as well as a remodeled golf shop.
The new Stowe Mountain Club Golf Course, located at Spruce Peak, is scheduled to open May 19 to members and guests of Stowe Mountain Lodge. The course was designed by Bob Cupp.
Both courses are offering membership promotions: Stowe Mountain Club has a Gold summer membership with a reduced initiation and waived dues. Stowe Country Club is rewarding 2013-14 Stowe winter season pass holders with promotional pricing on annual memberships. Contact Josh Nicholls at 802-253-3690 for further Country Club membership; and Bridget Kennedy at 802-253-4600 for information on the Gold membership.
