Still Another Joint Pass Lets Big Cottonwood Fans Have It All

Solitude Ski Area

Sometimes you just can’t keep track of all the multi-resort season pass deals without a scorecard. Now you can add the Big Cottonwood Pass to the list, offering Solitude and Brighton every day of the season, plus nights at Brighton.

The pass will cost $999. That’s $200 more than a Solitude-only season pass, but Brighton’s fees have not yet been set. The joint pass must be purchased by Nov. 2, but there will be no blackout dates.

The announcement comes on the heals of a deal linking up Alta, Snowbird, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort where qualifying passholders receive three free days of skiing or riding at each of the other resorts. Vail Resorts (including Utah’s Canyons) has its Epic Pass. Also available is the Powder Alliance, with reciprocal skiing rights at 13 western resorts including Utah’s Snowbasin. Alta and Snowbird passholders may also be part of the Mountain Collective.

“Big Cottonwood Canyon is a uniquely beautiful place,” said Solitude Manager Dave DeSeelhorst. He noted Solitude has a combined 3,700 acres of terrain, “more than any other area can provide.”

Solitude and Brighton are connected by the upgraded SolBright Trail. Brighton’s Randy Doyle said the upgrades mean “skiing between the two areas is quick, easy and will add an entirely new dimension to skiing in Big Cottonwood.”
