The spring skiing and riding season rolls on with eight areas turning lifts this weekend.
In Oregon, Mt. Bachelor, Timberline and Mt. Hood Meadows are sporting base depths well over 100 inches. California’s Mammoth Mountain remains open with a 70-inch base. In the Rockies, Snowbird is open with three lifts, including the Tram, with a 107-inch base; while the snow keeps falling at Arapahoe Basin, which has picked up more than a foot of new snow in the past three days.
Vermont’s King of Spring, Killington Resort, remains open Friday through Sunday with the Superstar lift and Superstar trail. Plus the Umbrella Bar for sun soaking.
Canada's Whistler Blackcomb continues a spring tradition with 90 trails and 13 lifts open this weekend.
