Spring Deals Run Alongside Maple Sugar At Okemo; Yukon Kornelius At FestEVOL

Okemo

Count on two things running freely in Northern New England in the spring: sap for the sugar makers who tap into making ample amounts of maple syrup, and skiers/ riders sprinting to the lifts to take advantage of deep snow, high sun and value pricing.

Okemo Mountain isn’t sugar-coating their offers as tree-tapping season gets underway. But you don’t necessarily have to live nearby to reap the benefits.

But, first: Mark the date of March 16 for the Okemo FestEVOL concert in the Ice House Arena at Jackson Gore. Also on tap is O.A.R. Yukon Koprnelius was founded in 2008 when the musicians were filming the Warren Miller movie, "Children of Winter. Concert,  lift ticket packages, and lodging is available online. FestEVOL is a lifestyle experience combining snowsports with live music and the sustainable Reverb Eco Village.

Vermont and New Hampshire sugar makers, and all other residents of those states, can ski or ride an entire day on any Wednesday in March for $39. In April, the lift ticket rate for full-time residents of Vermont and New Hampshire drops to just $29 on Wednesdays.

Vermont and New Hampshire residents also qualify for Sunday Solution tickets. A special rate of $35 for adults, $30 for young adults and seniors, and $24 for juniors and super seniors, is offered from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Sunday for the remainder of the season. They can also purchase afternoon tickets valid from 12:30 to 4 p.m. for just $29, for all ages.

Proof of residency in the form of a valid Vt. or N.H. driver's license, hunting/fishing license, or voter registration card must be presented at the time of purchase to take advantage these lift ticket deals.

Anyone planning to visit Okemo on any Thursday from now through the end of the season can receive one free lift ticket when they buy a regularly priced adult lift ticket online in advance – that works out to a full day of skiing and riding for just $40 a person.

Tickets must be purchased online 48 hours in advance and may not be combined with any other offer or promotion.

Among the benefits to all this is your ability to stop in one of Ludlow’s country stores after a day on the slopes and bring home some of that maple goodness.
