Snowshoe Salutes The Military March 1-3 With Races, Concerts, More
It starts Thurs. Feb. 28 with a “First-Boots-In” Happy Hour and kick off party at village restaurants. Things swing into full gear Friday, March 1 with skiing or riding, the Warfighter Sports Camp for adaptive skiers, and zipline target drop challenge. International comedian Alonzo Bodden performs 8-10 p.m. in the Big Top and 11 p.m. Sat. March 2 at the Moonshine Pub for VIP Package holders only.
Begin Sat. with a buffet breakfast, followed by a flag raising ceremony and Air Force flyover, more skiing and riding, and branch vs. branch modified slalom races. Singer Uncle Kracker puts life into perspective by celebrating the “now”, along with The Davisson Brothers Band, 7-10 p.m. in the Village Plaza. Sunday continues with a repeat of many of Friday and Saturday’s activities.
There are several lift and lodging packages available with savings of up to 50 percent, beginning with the VIP Package that includes 2 nights of lodging, 3 days of lift tickets, Fri. & Sat. comedy shows, Sat. concert, and Nastar tickets. Prices begin at $194 per person based on four people at the Inn at Snowshoe. There are a limited number of available packages.
Other packages include the lift, lodging & concert package (2 nights of lodging, 2 days of lift tickets, Uncle Kracker concert ticket) beginning at $228 per person, double occupancy; a 2-day lift ticket and concert package starting at $144 per person; and the Uncle Kracker concert only at $25.
