SnoCountry's Best Mountain Top Restaurants

Yurt at killingtonLocally sourced ingredients and stunning views make for some of SnoCountry.com’s best mountain top dining destinations. Many offer unique modes of transportation to the restaurant, including sleigh or snowcat rides, making getting there part of the experience, and intimate gatherings that create the opportunity for guests to mingle with other diners and compare notes after a day on the slopes.

At Vermont’s Killington, take a 15-20 minute snowcat-drawn sleigh ride to the trailside location of the Ledgewood Yurt. Over candlelight, enjoy five indulgent courses featuring signature prime cuts, local ingredients and incredible accents. The Yurt features a social atmosphere with dining tables for groups of six or eight people. In addition to dinner excursions, select dates are available for Family Nights or ski-in, ski-out lunches.

Alpenglow Stube KeystoneRide two gondolas to the top of Keystone’s North Peak in Colorado to Alpenglow Stube, where you’ll find the highest AAA Four-Diamond restaurant In North America at 11, 444 feet. Award-winning chefs create delicious contemporary cuisine with a Bavarian accent to complement this unique, secluded setting. Sunday’s Signature Champagne Brunch begins with complimentary mimosas.

On top of Michigan's Boyne Highland’s North Peak is Aonach Mor Moonlight Dinner. The mountain top lodge is set aglow by candlelight and an acoustic guitarist in the background. A 15-minute sleigh ride takes you to the top of the peak. On clear nights you can see the lights of the Mackinac Bridge about 30 miles away. The day-lodge for skiers, with wall-to-wall windows and high pine ceilings, is transformed with white linen covered tables and a crackling fire to greet diners.Mountain top dining at Boyne Highlands
