Cliff House at StoweCrisp autumn air and moderate temperatures make for the perfect time to head to your favorite resort for some al fresco dining. Here are SnoCountry’s favorites for a fall trip to take in the colors and enjoy a cocktail or meal on the deck.


Whether you’re visiting Gunstock's Mountain Adventure Park, hiking, fishing or camping you can enjoy a drink and great meal at The Landing Zone. The outdoor restaurant is located off the Main Lodge, offering scenic views of the mountain while being right in the middle of all the activities.

Distinctively situated on the shoulder of Mount Mansfield, the Cliff House at Stowe brings fine dining to new heights. Featuring an open kitchen, Cliff House serves regional American cuisine with a rustic Vermont flair. Their commitment to using the freshest seasonal and artisan ingredients can be tasted in every  dish and dessert; and the hand-selected wine list and cocktails will complement any meal.

At Bretton Woods take a complimentary scenic lift ride to Latitude 44° and enjoy expansive views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range from the summit of New Hampshire's largest ski area. The menu features options like ice cream treats, salads, hot dogs, sandwiches and burgers, plus a selection of local beers and wines.

Okemo outdoor restaurantAfter a morning at the Evolution Bike Park, take in the views at Okemo’s Coleman Brook Tavern. The patio is open through foliage season and offers the best in locally-sourced food in an impressive menu combining a unique mix of traditional and modern cuisine.

Located at the course-side Tamarack Club, John Harvard’s Brew House at Holiday Valley offers a selection of micro-brewed ales and lagers and an extensive menu including burgers, stone hearth pizzas and salads. Join them after a round of golf at the cozy poolside patio with a view of the pools and the golf course.
