Chile’s Ski Portillo is putting a freeze on ski week prices for its 2015 season that runs June 20-Oct. 3, keeping 2014 costs. They’ve also added new mini ski week options and complimentary ski rental and group lessons in July packages.
Prices begin at US$2,100 for a ski week at the classic Hotel Portillo, US$1,390 at the Octagon Lodge, or US$990 at the hostel-style Inca Lodge. All Portillo ski weeks include accommodations, four meals daily in the Hotel Portillo dining room (or at the cafeteria for Inca Lodge guests), lift tickets for up to eight days, scheduled transfers from Santiago International Airport, and access to all resort amenities. Rates are based on double occupancy, per person.
The new Mini Ski Weeks offer 3- and 4-night options, valid Sat.-Wed. (four nights) and Wed.-Sat. (three nights) from June 20-27; June 27- July 4; Aug. 29-Sept. 5; Sept. 19- 26; and Sept. 26-Oct. 3.
All July packages now include complimentary ski rental and group lessons. It’s valid for Hotel Portillo, Octagon Lodge, and Inca Lodge, July 4-31.
Also new this season are non-stop flights on United Airlines to Santiago from Houston, a 2-hour transfer to Ski Portillo. Flights continue from New York City, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami and Toronto.
Families can take advantage of kids ski/stay/dine free weeks. One child per adult is free from Jun. 20–27; June 27–July 4; Aug. 29–Sept. 5; Sept. 5-12; Sept. 12–19; and Sept. 19-26. An even better deal runs Sept. 26-Oct. 3 when two kids are free with two adults.
