How would you like to ski, ride and stride all over Michigan this winter every day of the season for just $550?

Not just at one area either, but more than 20 of the top ski areas scattered across the Wolverine State, and adding in Minnesota’s Wild Mountain and Wisconsin’s Nordic Mountain.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame will is offering the Ski Michigan Gold Card for $550 through the end of August. The price will increase to $650 September 1 The card entitles the holder to ski, ride or stride all season long at these ski areas. There are no blackout dates.

Currently 14 areas have signed on to participate so far this coming season, and they expect that number to double by the time the first snow hits the slopes.

The list includes most of the state's larger ski resorts and many popular smaller ski areas. Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain, Crystal Mountain, Shanty Creek Resorts and Treetops are a few of the Lower Michigan resorts represented, and Big PowderhornPorcupine Mountains and Ski Brule are some of the UP ski areas included. The entire state is well represented.

It’s also a good deal for Wisconsin residents who ski and ride in Michigan’s UP, or Indiana residents who have easy access to Lower Michigan ski areas.

If you ski or ride more than a couple of weeks per season, the card will more than pay for itself. Consider it like a season pass to 20-some individual areas. But, act quickly, because the card is printed in limited quantity and routinely sells out quickly. Only 75 are printed.

The Ski and Snowboard Hall, located in Ishpeming, Mich., is the only national hall of fame dedicated exclusively to skiing and snowboarding in America. It provides lasting recognition for American skiers and snowboarders who excelled nationally and internationally as either competitors or contributors to the advancement of snow sports in all forms. Proceeds from the sale of the Gold Cards helps preserve that heritage.
