The Mountain and Highlands kick off the holiday season with 6-for-1 day Friday, Dec. 13. This annual event pays homage to America's first six-seat, high-speed lift, the Mountain Express. Six people for the price of one, and it's good at either resort.
A regular full day lift ticket, good at both resorts, is $56. Spend Thursday and Friday nights, and you and your five friends can spend the night for the price of one as well. Lift and lodging packages at both resorts for the coming weekend start from $123 per person. Boyne is asking participants to help spread a little holiday cheer this year by donating a toy, clothing or cash to the Salvation Army. Donations can be dropped off at both locations from 9 a.m-3 p.m.
Ski and stay at the Highlands Dec. 20-26 starting from $114 per person, per night, based on double occupancy. The package includes lodging, daily lift ticket and breakfast buffet. Ski and Splash Packages at the Mountain start from $109 per person, per night, based on double occupancy. Packages include lodging, an unlimited lift ticket, breakfast buffet and tubing.
Both resorts have a full slate of events scheduled throughout the holidays. The weekend of Dec 13, in addition to the 6 for 1, there will be complementary horse drawn sleigh rides at the Mountain and the village tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday followed by pictures with Santa for the little ones. The Highlands will host a manufacturer’s demo day on Saturday, Dec. 28 and the Mountain will host one the following day.
Try the latest gear on the market, and it’s free. Holiday rail jams will be taking place at the Highlands on Sunday, Dec. 29 and the Mountain the following day. Sponsoring North Face will be offering some great prizes.
Special dinners and parties for all age groups are being offered at Boyne Mountain to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a torchlight parade and fireworks over the mountain at 9:15 p.m.
