The 21st annual Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo, produced by BEWI Productions, comes to downtown Denver’s Colorado Convention Center Fri., Nov. 2 to Sun., Nov. 4.
Check out the Expo Fri., from noon-10 p.m., Sat., 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sun., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Adult admission is $12; children 12 and under are free. Get $2 off the cost of admission by taking the RTD to the Expo and showing your RTD pass or ticket.
Your admission ticket also gets you a one-year subscription to either SKI or Transworld Snowboarding magazines and a $10 Liftopia Gift Card.
The Expo features 20,000 square feet of gear with discounts of up to 75 percent on last year’s equipment; Expo-only lodging deals and packages offered by Colorado’s 26 resorts; a Winter Park Kids Learning Center; Keystone’s KidTopia Play Park; an ELITEAM Training Center presented by Eldora Mountain; and The Skyriders!, a freestyle aerial demonstration presented by Crested Butte.
There also will be Monarch Mountain’s Coleman Mountain Activity Center featuring a number of interactive demo areas that let you try Slacklining, Mountain Board, Curling, and a Climbing Wall.
The Rocky Mountain Brew Fest returns for a second year. Dozens of handcrafted beers and ales will be available for sampling during one of four 3-hour tasting sessions. An additional fee of $12 ($15 at the door) gets you three samples, plus one full beer. Participants must be over 21 years of age and have purchased a Ski & Snowboard Expo admission ticket.
Have some old ski and/or snowboard equipment taking up space in your garage? Bring it along. Usable equipment will be donated to charities; unusable items will be recycled into new products.
