Season Extensions Roll Out Into April; Seven Springs, Brundage Mountain

Seven Springs

UPDATE March 29: Hunter Mountain, N.Y. announced it will remain open every day through April 7 and then re-open for the weekend of April 13-14. Vermont's Okemo will turn its lifts through April 21 each day -- a week later than planned.

Original story:

Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania and Brundage Mountain in Idaho have announced season extensions; Seven Springs until April 7 and Brundage to April 14.

Seven Springs’ Alex Moser said, “We were not expecting to remain open in April, but our team did an outstanding job to allow us to do so.” The latest snowstorm dropped almost two feet on Seven Springs. The latest date the resort has been open was April 14, in 1996.

Moser said winter lodging packages, Peter Cotton Trails, Rails to Rails, and Winter Mini Memories will all remain available.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia, announced earlier in the week that they would extend an additional week as well, through April 7.

Meanwhile, heading West, Brundage Mountain, Idaho says its healthy snow base will allow skiing and riding through April 14.

“Our coverage and snow depth are really good right now,” said Brundage’s April Russell. We’ve got 51 inches at the base and 89 inches at the summit, so unless the weather really goes wild, we’ll be in good shape through April 14.

Season pass holders are invited to bring a friend to ski or ride for free April 7-14. Those holding Multi-day select cards may redeem as many of their remaining tickets as they wish that same week.
