Ragged Mountain's $25 Lift Ticket Deal Friday Dec. 5 Benefits Children's Hospital At Dartmouth

Children's Hospital at DartmouthRagged Mountain Resort is offering $25 lift tickets for all skiers and riders Friday, Dec. 5. It;s Benefit Day and all proceeds go to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, also known as CHaD.

This daylong celebration will include a children’s lantern parade, live entertainment, s’mores over the firepit and free ice cream sundaes. 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of lift tickets this day will be donated to the hospital.

“All the lift ticket proceeds will be donated to the charity, and members of the community will get the opportunity to ski or ride our resort at an unbelievable once-a-year price. The event is open to the public, and we hope to raise tens of thousands of dollars. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community and for everyone to have some fun in the process,” Ragged Mountain’s Amanda McLain told SnoCountry.com

Ragged hopes to raise awareness and resources for CHaD, New Hampshire's full service, comprehensive children's hospital. “CHaD make children’s stays in the hospital easier for everyone, from sensitivity to a child patient’s needs, to parental support, to keeping siblings in mind,” McLain told us.

Entertainment during the day includes performances by Miss New Hampshire and Miss Teen NH, as well as the a capella group Not Too Sharp from UNH. Storyteller Simon Brooks will tell tales and Northern Stage will present A Christmas Carol.

Attendees can also bid on the first ride on the new lift, which Ragged plans to open during the holiday period.

Also that evening, children are invited to carry glowsticks and paper torches for a torchlight parade. After the parade, the ski patrol, terrain park team, and ski school staff will ski down the crest of the mountain with lit torches to end the evening.
