Popular So-Gnar Snowboard Camps Hit Midwest Over Next Few Weeks
Midwest snowboarders -- get your shred on. The ninth annual So-Gnar Snowboard Camp Tour hits seven Heartland ski areas over the next few weeks.
Five of the stops are scheduled through the holiday period. The popular camps frequently fill up so don’t delay signing up if interested. Buck Hill, near the Twin Cities kicks it off on Dec. 20-21, followed by Wisconsin’s Granite Peak, Dec. 22-23, Sunburst, Dec. 28-29, Tyrol Basin, Dec. 30-31, and Illinois’ Chestnut Mountain, Jan. 1-2. Pine Knob, near Detroit, is the only Michigan ski area, scheduled Jan. 10-11, and Ohio’s Mad River Mountain rounds out the Midwest tour Jan. 17-18.
Cost is $155, which includes private coaching and lunch for the two-day camps. Lift tickets, which you will need, are not included. They are extra.
The camps, sponsored by SO-GNAR, bring custom made jib features and pro-rider coaches to each area. You get to ride with the pros, learn new tricks, style and creativity while having fun, and there are always lots of free swag giveaways. It is snowboard camp after all, what’s not to like?
