Okemo To Host Vermont Symphony Orchestra June 27

The baton drops on the Vermont Symphony Orchestra 2014 Summer Festival Tour at the Jackson Gore Inn at Vermont’s Okemo Mountain Resort, Friday, June 27. This will be the orchestra’s fourth appearance at Okemo.

The theme for the orchestra’s Summer Festival Tour is “Let’s Dance” and is    conducted by Anthony Princiotti. Music selections include waltzes, swing, polkas, salsa, dance hits from Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller, The 1812 Overture, and marches. The performance concludes with fireworks.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.; grounds open at 5:30 p.m. The concert will move to Okemo’s Ice House in the event of rain. Attendees can bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Food and beer or wine also can be purchased on site.

Adult (18+) tickets are $31 in advance or $36 at the door and can be purchased online https://secure2.okemo.com/e-commerce/ItemList.aspx?node_id=5946696  Junior (17 and under) tickets are free in advance with adult purchase; $12 at the door.
