After more than five decades of bringing together skiers and riders with mountain resorts and snowsports retailers, the Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase returns Nov. 4-6 to Albany at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.

The consumer show, formerly known as the Albany Ski & Snowboard Expo, will feature resorts from across the Northeast and beyond; alongside an expansion of its popular Craft Beer Garden, which was successfully introduced during the 2015 show and will now be offered all three days of the event.

“The Showcase offers something for anyone who loves snowsports,”  spokesperson Mark Bardack told SnoCountry.com. “For families, while parents check out the mountains and travel opportunities, there are free activities for kids to take part in.” Bardack also believes there’s a “synergy between skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers that enjoy craft beer,” and an opportunity for snowsports lovers to stick around, talk and enjoy each other’s company.

The Friday edition of the show will offer guests the chance to meet representatives from their favorite Vermont breweries. Saturday, New York breweries will be highlighted.

Tastings are $5 for five sampling tickets, which can be used in any combination for selections of craft beer and food.

The Hannaford Family Fun Zone will feature a variety of free activities for youngsters, including the ELITEAM Fitness Challenge, presented by Oak Mountain and I SKI NY. The simple and fun obstacle course invites children of all ages and fitness abilities to test their strength, endurance and coordination, with feedback and hands-on tips from fitness coaches.

The first 500 attendees each day of the show will be rewarded with lift ticket promos. Various two-for-one and free lift ticket vouchers will be given away to New York and Vermont resorts, depending on which day you attend.

A new addition to this year’s show is a line-up of snowmobiles and ATVs designed for winter exploration.

Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 online. Children 12 and under accompanied by an adult are admitted free. Online ticket sales end at 10 a.m. Friday, November 4.
