Gunstock Mountain Resort will open its award-winning Adventure Park on May 29 for Memorial Day Weekend. The weekend marks the annual opening for Gunstock’s summer adventures, a favorite tourist attraction in the Lakes Region. Brand new this summer is The Patio @ Gunstock offering “brews and views”; a full-service outdoor dining experience at the base area.
After a successful winter season with adjustments and new protocols in place to follow New Hampshire state guidelines concerning Covid-19, Gunstock President and General Manager Tom Day will use the knowledge and experience gained from the winter to plan a safe, successful, and fun summer season.
“Our staff is working hard to get ready for summer and working within the NH State Guidelines for safe summer operations,” said Day. “We are definitely seeing more people interested in summer activities and our call center is busy with people planning their summer vacation.”
Zip Tour, Aerial Treetop Adventure, Guided Off-Road Segway and E-Bike Tours will operate similar to the winter season, with daily capacity to allow for proper physical distancing and frequent sanitization. Scenic Lift Rides and the Mountain Coaster are also available. Guests can expect to book their tickets for summer adventures online in advance and are reminded to plan ahead and book early.
The Gunstock Campground opens on May 29 offering basic to full hook-up sites. Two cabins are available for rent located on the Gunstock trail system. Relax at your campsite and enjoy the natural habitat around the mountain or take a pleasurable drive to one of the many local attractions in the Lakes Region.
In addition to the full-service outdoor seating on The Patio @ Gunstock, the Snack Shack will also be open with grab-and-go options for guests after enjoying the Adventure Park or taking a break from the campground.
Gunstock Adventure Park will be open on weekends from Memorial Day Weekend through June 21, then operates four days a week, open Friday-Monday beginning June 25 and running until September 6.
