Mud On The Mountain Returns To Seven Springs Nov. 3

Seven Springs

So many adventure-seekers took part in the inaugural Mud On The Mountain Adventure Race at Pennsylvania’s Seven Springs that the resort is going to do it all over again Nov. 3.

“At the closing of our May event, our team watched so many smiling muddy faces come off the course raving about the event and wanting more,” said Alex Moser, Director of Marketing. “Bringing back Mud On The Mountain for a late fall event will present a whole new set of challenges and adventure and will require another level of training.” More than 2,000 riders showed up in the spring.

The course remains seven miles in length and weaves across demanding terrain. Participants traverse ponds, scale boulder fields, and claw their way up inclines. The fall version retains some of these obstacles, but adds new ones. All will be sprinkled with a fresh coat of mud, and possibly, some natural snow.

Waves of 200 competitors start the course in 20-minute intervals beginning at 8 a.m. Registration closes Oct. 28 and is accepted online where those considering entering will also find a course map, photos, and additional information. The fee to participate is $80. Visitor passes are $10 each and allow spectators to ride a chairlift to the top of the course.

A special lodging rate is available the night before or the night after at $109 per room. Call (866) 437-1300.
