Mt. Norquay

The ski season in Banff, Alberta jumps out to its earliest opening in history Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at noon when Mt. Norquay says “come and get it.”

The remainder of The Big 3  trifecta – Lake Louise and Sunshine Village plan Nov. 9 openings.

Mt. Norquay will open on a combination of 30 cm of natural and machinemade snow. Resort officials call it “the best conditions ever for an opening day.”

The resort will follow by being open Friday through Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
