More Snow For the Northeast; West To Warm Up Again

Jet StreamMuch of the heart of this season has been a classic case of the "haves" and the "have-nots" with respect to natural snow across the country. This jet stream tells the story with a significant ridge in the west and dip in the east.

The ridge in the West has kept that region mild and dry for the most part, while the deep trough over the East is the latest in a series of systems that have dumped prodigious amounts of snow on the resorts of the Northeast in recent weeks.
