How would you like to ski 33 of Michigan’s top ski areas for less than $7 per visit this winter?
All you have to do is purchase the Michigan Snowsports Industries Association (MSIA) White Gold Card, which is now on sale for $219. It allows you to ski one time during the 2014/15 winter season at 33 of the Wolverine State’s top ski areas, and also includes a free equipment tune-up, three hot waxing sessions, and a coupon for $20 off a purchase of $100 or more at participating retailers. The retail value is more than $1,400, according to Mickie McWilliams, executive director for MSIA.
“The card is on sale now at 40 participating snowsports shops throughout the state and will be available online at MSIA starting October 15,” she told SnoCountry.com. “Anyone who is interested I would encourage them to hurry and get one. Several ski shops are already running low on supplies, and it just went on sale. We normally sell out, because we only print 400. You save a $6 shipping fee by purchasing the card at the local shop instead of online.”
The purchaser takes the card to the ski area lift ticket window where a corresponding square on the card is punched and you get a ticket. The only blackout time is through the Christmas/New Year Holiday period.
Boyne Resorts, Nubs Nob, Shanty Creek, Crystal Mountain, Caberfae Peaks, The Homestead, Indianhead Mountain, Marquette Mountain, and Treetops are just a sampling of the many choices found on the White Gold Card. There’s a complete list of ski areas and participating ski shops found online with the White Gold Card information.
