Midwestern shredders should check out the summer Treetops snowboard camps next month in northern Michigan.
Now is the time to be getting in shape for the upcoming winter season. Treetops five-day summer camps, scheduled Aug. 10-14 and 16-20, are a great way to get started. It covers physical, mental and technical training. Throw in a good dose of balance training, some gymnastics, and you’ll have a good regimen to follow until the snow arrives.
Per person price for the five day camp is $815, double occupancy, and $951 for a single. It includes four nights lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and instruction by three-time Canadian Olympic coach Tom Hutchinson. Non-lodging guests for the five-day camp are $699. Bring your skateboards and penny boards for late afternoon fun. It’s billed as a learning experience but also promises it will be fun.
For parents, take advantage of the affordable golf packages for Treetops quintet of award-winning golf courses starting with the Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Masterpiece, and followed by three Rick Smith courses, including the top par-three course in the country, Threetops, and Michigan’s only Tom Fazio course. It’s an impressive lineup of golf course architects. Packages start from $129 per person, per night for the Ultimate Golf Package that includes breakfast, dinner and a round of golf.
