Early March should bring much-needed snow relief for California and Oregon. The snowpack in this area is only 30-40% of average, but multiple storms should dump above average precipitation late next week through the first week of March.
This precipitation will also find its way east to the Rocky Mountains, which will add to their already healthy snowpack. In the meantime, here is what we expect:
Colorado: Less snow this weekend compared to earlier forecasts. Three storms next week: Tuesday, Thursday, and the strongest storm brings snow next weekend.
Tahoe: Two storms on the way! First is on Thursday, then a stronger storm next weekend. Multiple feet of snow possible with each storm.
Utah: A weak to moderate storm on Thursday, then a stronger storm next weekend.
Northwest: Go enjoy the deepness after 10 feet of snow in 10 days! More snow Saturday night through Monday morning. Get it while it's cold!
New England: The thaw ends on Saturday and colder temperatures return next week.
