Carnival Weekend Boyne Mt.

March’s longer, warmer days bring out the fun side of Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands. It gets a little “krazy” this time of year in Michigan's Boyne Country.

Saturday, March 8, is the sixth annual Brew-Ski Festival. The event features more than 200 craft beers from some of the Midwest's finest microbreweries and entertainment beginning at noon.

The frothy samples are served up on snow bars by brewery representatives while you enjoy live music, brats on the grill. Following the outdoor fun, you can head inside the legendary Zoo Bar for live music from the Aaron Vaughn Band.

Lift and lodging packages start from $262 per person, per weekend, based on double occupancy.  The package includes two nights lodging, breakfast daily, two-day lift tickets, Friday night hors d’oeuvres reception, commemorative gift and five drink tickets.

Kid’s Festival Weekend also takes place March 7-9 at Boyne Mountain. The resort’s  Ski & Stay Package kids ages 8 and under sleep, ski and eat breakfast free, and juniors ages, 9-15, receive reduced rates. Adult package rates start from $125 per person and include overnight accommodations, lift ticket, and breakfast buffet.

The following weekend, March 15-17, Krazy Daze takes place at the Highlands and Carnival Weekend is going on over at the Mountain.  Both feature events for the whole family and offer one of the Heartland’s best spring parties for adults.

Krazy Daze kid's events include Silly Slalom, jump competition, face painting, and costume judging.  For the adults the party kicks off Friday afternoon with live music in the Zoo Bar and in the Slopeside Lounge that evening. There are GS races, an adult Silly Slalom on Saturday and, of course, a pond skimming event and more live music in the Zoo Bar with Aaron Vaughn.

Krazy Daze weekend lift and lodging packages at the Highlands start from $130 per person, per night lodging and includes lift ticket and breakfast buffet.

Carnival Weekend pulls out all the stops with beads, bands, and costume competitions. Check out the on-hill party at Victor Warming House Saturday. There will be outside cookouts on the Stein Eriksen Patio and live music. The spectator friendly Slush Cup rolls out on Sunday.

Lift and lodging packages in the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa, including breakfast, start from $153 per person, per night, based on double occupancy for Carnival Weekend,

The local county sheriff puts on extra road patrol for this weekend. Consider spending the night, but don't wait long to book a reservation. Rooms fill quickly for this weekend. Charlevoix Cab will be on property for rides and Charlevoix County Transit will be offering rides until 9 p.m.
