Lift Ticket Deals Still Available At Montana Ski Resorts

WhitefishThe time for season pass deals at Montana ski resorts may be over, but several lift ticket deals remain. Frequent skier cards, packs and punch cards can substantially lower your daily lift ticket cost. Check out these offers.


Whitefish Mountain, scheduled to open Dec. 5, offers a Frequent Skier Card, available through Dec. 24, for $50 allowing an adult pass holder to purchase a daily lift ticket for $46. A teen daily lift ticket with the card is $43, and juniors (7-12) are $23. Daily adult lift tickets are $73 this coming season, teens $64, and juniors $38.

Big Sky offers a Sky Card for $199, available until Nov. 29. It provides 14 days of free skiing, Nov. 30- Dec. 6, and April 11-17, and provides $25 off the regular daily rate of $106 for an adult lift ticket and $96 for a half-day. Opening day is slated for Nov. 26.

Red Lodge has 6-Tix and 10-Tix passes which allows six or 10 days of skiing anytime throughout the season. Individual cost for the 6-Tix is adult $265, junior (13-18) $220, and child (6-12) $115. For the 10-Tix it’s respectively $399, $335 and $175. They can be reloaded anytime during the season.  Adult daily lift tickets are $53. Opening day is planned Nov. 27.

Montana Snowbowl is selling lift ticket coupons through Dec. 1 that saves you $8 per lift ticket. They are good anytime during the season, are transferable and you can buy as many as you like prior to above date. An adult coupon is $38, student and senior coupons are $35 each and child (6-12) is $11.  An adult lift ticket is $46 this season. Snowbowl expects to open Dec. 4.

Showdown has the Showup Card, which is available for $105 through Dec. 10. The card provides three adult lift tickets, which can be used anytime during the season and are transferable. They only print 1,000 cards each season and normally sell out. An adult lift ticket is $43 this season, which is slated to start Dec. 11.

At Great Divide snowmaking has started, and they hope to open the Pocket Park early November. GD offers a Half Price Passport for $59, which is transferable. The Passport, a 10-punch card, allows the holder to purchase a half-price lift ticket with each punch. There’s no daily use limit so 10 friends could get half-price lift tickets on the same day. Purchase as many Passports as you like. The daily adult lift ticket is $40. They are normally the first ski area to open in the state.

Discovery offers a package of five transferable lift tickets for $185 starting Nov. 7 and available through Dec. 25. Adult daily lift tickets are $42 this winter. Opening day is planned Nov. 26.

Lookout Pass Ski Area sells a six-pack advance ticket package for $210. An adult lift ticket is $42 this season.
