LA’s Ski Dazzle Nov. 15-18 Is ‘Think Snow Party’ Of Planning, Shopping, Fun

Ski Dazzle 2012 is about to kick off the nation’s largest consumer ski and snowboard show and sale, featuring over 325 exhibitor and sponsor booths. 

The action takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa Street, Thurs. Nov. 16 - Sun., Nov. 18 from 4-11 p.m. Thurs. and Fri., 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Sat., and noon-6 p.m., Sun.

“We have been staging Ski Dazzle for over 34 years and it's always exciting for us to see each show consistently take on new life by bringing fans together with their families and new friends being introduced to the fun of skiing and snowboarding at Ski Dazzle,” Judy Gray, Ski Dazzle’s co-founder, told SnoCountry.com.  


“Hundreds of resorts, retailers and new product exhibitors are always on hand to help these Southern California skiers and snowboarders get ready for the new season. It keeps our exhibitors and attendees busy at this four-day ‘Think Snow’ party with one-stop shopping and non-stop fun, right in their own backyard each year, at Ski Dazzle.” 

 

So much to see and do at the show for the regular admission of $20 (adult or child 13 and older) which includes a “buy one, get one free” lift ticket or season pass discount to Bear Mountain or Snow Summit  (some restrictions apply) and a $10 Liftopia gift card. Children 6-12 pay $5 but their admission does not include lift ticket offer; it’s free for those under 6. 


Activities at the show include the center stage Bear Mountain Vert Ramp; $6 million sale and swap with discounts of up to 70 percent on current and past season’s gear; free ski lessons on Snow Summit’s indoor ski ramp; a 30-foot x 40-foot ice skating rink; free 20-foot-high rock climbing wall; Make A Hero.org Live Celebrity auctions featuring items like Volkl ski packages, ski trip plus airfare for two to Aspen http://www.snocountry.com/resort-page/co/aspenmountain , and much more; and Taste of Winter presented by Executive Chef Brett Lewis demonstrating recipes and selecting audience members to sample them.


There is also a Wine and Craft Beer Tasting that can be accessed with the additional purchase of a $25 ticket. You must have a general admission ticket (plus the Wine & Beer Tasting ticket) to the show, valid ID, and be 21 years or older. Your ticket entitles you to 10 taste servings.
