It’s Early, But Time To Scratch The ‘First Snow’ Itch

Some say those early snowfalls are meaningless. Ha! They have a distinct purpose. They fire up our inner juices and begin to get us psyched for the new season.

We’ve already had a few good examples from Alberta, Canada, Lake Tahoe, Calif. and Colorado. The annual “watch” is on at Loveland, Colo. where snowmaking is set to begin next week. Loveland is always in the hunt to be first.

There’s always an early race to see which resort can get us on snow first, so stay tuned and we’ll let you know when the gong rings. Sometimes it’s east and sometimes it’s west. Most resorts, however, plan on a pre-Thanksgiving opening.
