Huge Snow Trade Show In Denver Opens With ‘Everything New’

SIA Snow Show

Everything you will find in your favorite ski shop next fall is up for grabs this weekend as more than 19,000 suppliers, retailers, and reps jam-pack the Colorado Convention Center in Denver Jan. 31-Feb. 3.

SnoCountry.com’s Jill Adler is on hand and will file reports on “everything new” in hardgoods (skis and snowboards) and fashion early next week. Stay tuned for her reports.

The Snowsports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show will feature 1,000 brands filling the nooks and crannies across 332,000-plus net square feet of exhibit space.

Highlights of the show include a benefit Never Summer SOS Ice Hockey Shootout at the Foothills Ice Arena. A new Sourcing Snow trade feature showcases the top component and textile suppliers.

One of the highlights of the event is the 2013 Snow Fashion & Trends Show. The Convention Center’s Mile High Ballroom is converted into a huge, but classic, mountain lodge.

Other show highlights include the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition Thought Leaders Keynote & Awards Presentation. Icelandic’s Winter on the Rocks at Red Rocks features Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. It’s sold out.

The show moves out of the Convention Center and onto the snow with a two-day SIA On-Snow Demo/Ride Fest Feb. 4-5 at Winter Park Resort and a one-day Nordic Demo at Devil’s Thumb Resort Feb. 4.

The entire Snow Show is the largest annual gathering of the snowsports industry. The show is not open to the public, so Jill will have you covered right here early next week.
