Hops on the Snow, Slush Cup Highlight Okemo Spring Season
Vermont’s Okemo Mountain Resort, this week’s SnoCountry-Pepsi Resort of the Week, splashes into the spring skiing and riding season with outstanding conditions and a number of exciting events.
On Saturday, March 30, Hops on the Snow returns to Okemo. This one-day beer festival takes place on snow in the Jackson Gore Courtyard. Okemo will be serving a variety of new seasonal and craft beers on tap. So enjoy beautiful spring conditions on the hill in the morning then quench your thirst by sampling a few brews and barbecue with live music in the afternoon.
The annual Slush Cup & Splash for Cash return Saturday, April 6, so throw on a costume and take a shot at skimming across an 80-foot long, man-made slush pond in the Jackson Gore Base Area, without falling - splashing - in! Prizes will be awarded based on the overall impression of style, costume and craziest run, with additional prizes for best costume and best wipe out.
Following the Slush Cup, the Splash for Cash takes center stage as competitors launch from a kicker at the beginning of the Slush Cup pond, and with one shot to try their luck at grabbing the cold hard cash hanging high in the air and showing some style!
Registration is live for both events and Okemo recommends registering for Slush Cup & Splash for Cash in advance as both are each limited to 125 participants.
Don’t have an Epic Pass? No worries! Pre-purchase your Epic Day lift tickets in advance for the lowest price guaranteed through the end of the season Sunday, April 14.
