Early winter has been good to Montana skiers and riders, and four of the Treasure State’s top resorts are offering some attractive January lift and lodging packages. It’s an easy drive for many Heartlanders on the western side of the Midwest. Take advantage and enjoy some great snow conditions.
Whitefish Mountain is having a January White Sale, book two nights and get a third free that’s good January 2 through January 31. Hibernation House offers a lift and lodging special Sunday through Thursday that starts from $95 per person, per night, based on double occupancy and includes breakfast and hot tub access. Whitefish, which has seen back-to-back winters with over 400-inches of snow, also set a new skier visit record topping more than 350,000. Consider that a testament to the great conditions.
Big Sky, North America’s largest ski resort with nearly 6,000 skiable acres and 4,350-foot vertical, just opened the Ramcharger 8 chairlift, the first eight-seat, high-speed lift in North America, complete with heated seats and a weather-proof bubble. Add to that a six-seat, high-speed lift, a new high-speed quad, and 33 additional lifts. You never wait in lift lines. They are offering January lodging specials including a third night free Jan. 6-25 and 20 percent off at Big Sky hotels Dec. 24, 2018 - Jan. 25, 2019.
Red Lodge Mountain, the closest Montana ski area for Heartlanders, has plenty of snow and a featured ski and stay package at the historic Pollard Hotel where Buffalo Bill and Calamity Jane, among other western legends, stayed. Their stay and ski package starts from $227 per night for two people, including lift tickets and a full breakfast.
Bridger Bowl with four large bowls within ski boundaries has lift and lodging deals in nearby Bozeman that start from $99 per person, double occupancy, and mid-week packages for three nights lodging and two days skiing that start from $199 per person, double occupancy.
