Pine Mountain Ski and Golf Resort, located near Iron Mountain in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, has announced a partnership with internationally known hospitality company Wyndham. It’s the first Heartland ski resort to join the Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

Pine Mountain is receiving a multi-million dollar facelift, according to GM Michael Cameron. Renovations, which include all resort rooms, common areas, meeting facilities, parking areas, outside decks and lodge exterior, are underway and expected to be completed by ski season. A new beginner area will be ready for this winter. Future improvements are planned for the ski area.

New owners have also purchased the historic Four Seasons Island Resort, located just across the Wisconsin border on an island in the Menominee River, less than a half-hour from Pine Mountain. The century-old resort had been closed for several years and is being completely renovated. They are hoping to be able to handle overnight guests this winter since it is located near area snowmobile trails, a large part of the winter economy in northern Wisconsin and the UP.
