Fall In Love With Canada This Autumn

Fall In Love With Canada This Autumn

Tremblant’s color index guide will help you find peak foliage for your fall mountain bike adventure. (Tremblant)

If beautiful mountain views, fall colors and fun events aren’t enough reason to visit Canada this fall, you can add one more to that list. A favorable exchange rate has made international travel a lot more affordable. With a strong U.S. dollar, now is a prefect time to travel north.

Tremblant

Anyone who has admired Tremblant’s flamboyant fall scenery can confirm that its beautiful autumn hues are beyond compare. After a hike or a gondola ride, the Observation Tower offers sweeping 360° views across the Laurentian forest ablaze in crimsons, golds and oranges, as far as the eye can see. From the summit, a network of hiking trails worthy of both seasoned trailblazers and families alike offers an invitation to admire nature in all its splendor. Under the deft hands of master falconers, Tremblant’s Birds of Prey Show is another must – with or without children.

Mont-Sainte-Anne

Through October 10, Mont-Sainte-Anne offers the Great Colors Adventure, a jam-packed outdoor festival. Find a wide range of activities from sport challenges to breakfast buffets at the top of the mountain. All this in addition to mountain biking (DH and XC), gondola rides, hiking, disc golf and paragliding. Landscapes are filled with orange and red leaves, and the St. Lawrence River at the base of the mountain.

Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Top BBQ

Whistler Blackcomb’s pinnacle fall experience is more than sightseeing on the Guinness World Record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, open weekends through October 10. It’s the entire 360 experience that comes with it: two mountains, access to 50 kilometers of walking and hiking trails, mind-melting vistas, free and custom guided tours, viewpoints in every direction, and an ever-changing timeline of seasonal highlights. On Saturdays, ride up the Whistler Village Gondola for the Mountain Top BBQ and enjoy mouth-watering BBQ, fresh salads and delicious desserts at 6000 feet.
