Easter Weekend Skiing In Midwest And Beyond

Three ski resorts—Lutsen Mountains, Ski Brule and Boyne Mountain—plan on being open over Easter Weekend and weekends through the month. Mount Bohemia, which SnoCountry just posted last week, is also staying open weekends through April.

Minnesota's Lutsen Mountains is planning on remaining open weekends through the month into the first of May. That means four more weeks of skiing and riding along Lake Superior's northern shore and the legendary bumps that form on Hari Kari. Plans call for the resort's Eagle Mountain to remain open with 12 to 20 runs available, which is more than many Heartlands ski areas offer when fully open. Lutsen's lodging packages include Easter Weekend, April 14-17, the resort is offering three nights of lodging and skiing and riding from $211 per person, based on quad occupancy. On Easter Day you can join in the hunt for 300 eggs hidden along the slopes. You never know what be in them. Through April's remaining weekends, April 22-24 and April 29-May 1, Lutsen is offering two nights of lodging and skiing from $150, per person, quad occupancy.

Ski Brule also plans on staying open weekends through April as well. They are currently completely open. They will be hosting a brunch on Easter Day and an egg hunt. Lodging is available through the end of the season from $80 per night, a two-night stay is required. Lift tickets through the end of the season are $50. The resort is offering an advance lift ticket sale for the 2022/23 season. It's $250 for a six-pack of tickets, which averages out to $41 per ticket. The offer is only good through the end of April.

Boyne Mountain also plans to stay open weekends through April as long as the snow holds on. They currently have 16 runs open across the Mountain, and, of course, Avalanche Bay, often called the best waterpark in Midwest ski country, will be open as well.
